Nokia Ashas 303 Review

NOKIA ASHA  303
Nokia Asha 303 Review– Nokia Asha 303, which is one of the smartphone from the Asha Series is both a touchscreen and qwerty keypad mobile which is available for Rs 8,899. Going deep into the review of the mobile, the one question which is not yet answered is why the Finnish company still sticks on to S40 operating system. (Though the company has decided to update their N9 with Android ICS).
Price in India : Rs 8,899
Colors: Red, Graphite, Silver White, Aqua, Green, Purple
Advantages:
+Improved S40 interface
+Great selection of apps
Disadvantages:
-Average battery life
-No multitasking
Design:
Nokia Asha 303 resembles like the Nokia E6. With 2.6-inch capacitive touchscreen and slightly compressed QWERTY keypad, the device looks like a premium mobile like the BlackBerry Bold 9900. The classy and plastic finish of the phone makes it one of the preferable device by the mobile lovers.
The physical buttons are placed below the touchscreen and the buttons include Call, Message, Music Player and End buttons, which makes usage more genial.
Though not worthy of mentioning about the ports, the device only features the same 3.5 MM audio jack, a mini USB port for data transfers and the standard Nokia thinpin charging slot. The right side of the device has volume control keys and the rear of the mobile has a 3.2 MP camera with no flash attached.
Nokia Asha 303 UI (User Interface) :
Speaking about the user interface of the machine, users of S40 will not have any problem in using the device as the UI is the same like all other phones. If you have been using any other brand and new to Nokia, you will have to struggle for a while. The special mention which needs is the redesigned interface mimic Nokia Belle.
With only one homescreen, you customize the widgets and icons of the phone. The swipe of the device also helps in customizing the apps you want to open. In case if you want to open messaging on the left swipe, you can customize it. Below the touchscreen are  buttons menu, the main menu and contacts.
How is the touchscreen ?
The touchscreen is quite smooth but not always responsive. The only consolidating thing about the touchscreen is that, the device also features a QWERTY keypad.
QWERTY Keypad:
The buttons on the qwerty keypad are small, which makes you not to use the keypad often, but still it feels comfortable to type.
Performance :
Powered by 1GHz processor, the device runs on S40 OS, as the OS does not support multi-tasking. Call quality is very crisp and clear.
Final Review : A Good budget phone
